This is my new purchase from IMA. It looks pretty good, so far. I am a little worried about the barrel under the wood, but hopefully, under all of the yak fat, there is a pretty nice rifle.

Well, it didn't look as good as I was hoping, but it really doesn't look as bad as I thought it might. It's all pretty clean except for these two pitted spots:

Good, glad to hear it's not that bad. Tomorrow, I will take all of the metal parts to my work to put in the solvent tank to clean up.

Do you blast and reblue, or just clean the rust and leave it as is?

Well, it's all apart, and everything looks great. All my screws are alright, but I'll probably replace the band screws. I am missing the cleaning rod stop, so I guess I need to make one tomorrow.

What brand of cold blue do you use, Norm? All of your's look perfect!
