CZ 82 from J&G Sales?

Post by gunneyrabbit »

Any one purchase a CZ 82 from J&G Sales? Can a poor boy like myself purchase direct or do they only sell to retailers?

I got both my 82 and 83 from J&G. They sell direct to the public. I have had nothing but great experiences with them.

G.R.,

Heads up on the CZ82's on J&G, they come with 2-9rd mags Calif approved, so here is a option for ya, Classic Arms has CZ82's w/holster and 2-12rd mags for $199.95 and as for condition they look in good condition, here's the site, they are really good people to deal with and back up what they sell, BTW I really like my CZ82, very accurate pistols.

P.S. I got mine from AIM Surplus {so did anjdrifter, he talked me into getting one earlier this year} for $199.95 but they don't have them anymore.

The one I purchased from JG was in very good condition. I did pay the extra for a hand select. I also purchased the extra mag for it but mine came with a 12rd as I did not order the CA package. The grips had some wear and scuff marks but not too bad considering age and the way these guns are handled. I used to carry it as my CC until the P64 replaced it.
I have converted a couple of guys to the 9x18 with this gun. Once they get to shoot it at the range and it out performs the gun they are already used to they take a second look and eventually have ended up with one.
I started with a 52 and now have a small collection of CZ pistols. All have worked out very well.

6x6pinz,

I really like my CZ82, and ordered a P64 recently because it is slightly smaller. A question for you, is it noticeably more compact and easier to conceal carry? My CZ82 felt pretty good (much better than my XD) but did seem a bit thicker than ideal.

I should be receiving my P64 any day, but your thoughts comparing the two will be appreciated.
The Trouble with trouble is that it always starts out as fun.

The P64 is smaller than the cz82 and will be easier to CC. I really enjoy both pistols but the cz is more comfortable to shoot at the range for extended periods of time.

Does any one know how the CZ82 and 83 compare to the Makarov for weight and size, I've never picked a up CZ of either vintage and have nothing to reference to.
