Please help a new guy

Post by bryno44 »

Hi folks,
I am seeking a smaller carry gun and I have a couple of questions.
1st : If the P-64 is a PPK clone, will PPK grips fit it?
2nd: Is there any better source than J&G for brass cased 9X18 ammo?
J&G is currently back ordered @ 12.95 per box(plus shipping of course)
I have been reloading for many years and don't see any reason not to reload 9X18; and the Scot in me can't deal with spitting non-reloadable
casings on the ground. Thanks to all who have posted all this information I have been reading up on the past couple of days, it has really been big help.
Thanks again,

The PPK grips will not fit the P-64.
The P-64 is a PPK sized pistol that is a sort of cross between a Makarov and a CZ-50/CZ-70. The push feed system is a copy of the Makarov and the trigger system is similar to the CZ pocket pistols.
The Walther PP/PPK type pistols use a quite different trigger system and safety system as well. All modern ones use a push-button style magazine release too.

I just bought some Brown Bear fmj Mak ammo at the Lakeland, Florida gun show for $9.98 box OTD.
