I shot my P-64 at the range the other day. In 70 rounds, I had 3 or 4 failures of the slide to come all the way forward.
I was shooting Silver Bear JHP's.
Sometimes the slide came just a bit short of closing. Sometimes the round being chambered kicked up as it came out of the magazine so it wouldn't chamber.
I also noticed that the mag seemed to drop a bit (1mm?) out of the mag well. That is, it isn't seating tight up in the mag well.
What's wrong?
1. Silver Bear JHP's don't feed well.
2. Weak mag springs.
3. Some feed ramp problem.
4. Something with how the mag is held in.
5. Something else.
That many failures concerns me because I want to carry this when I get my CCW.
Bad guy: "I'mna keeeel you!!"
Weetabix: "Hold still a minute, will you? My gun jammed."

Clean it thoroughly and fire a couple hundred more rounds before you consider carrying it. If you have a problem after that, it is probably the ammo.
