I am carrying the P-64 as my primary weapon. I am satisfied with the reliability of this gun, I trust it to fire when needed. I own 2 makarov's,but the P-64 is just as reliable Imho. What do you carry. Regards Daniel

I carry my p-64 almost always, every once and a while I carry my cz82, and before I got my cz and my p64 was temporarily grip less I carried a snub nosed Taurus .38 for a couple of days. All in all I much prefer the p64.

Daniel,
Glad to hear you worked out the feeding problems with your P-64 and now carry it. My primary carry weapon is also the P-64 for everyday CCW, and I normally use the "Clipdraw" for IWB year round, strong side carry, crossdraw and "Mexican" carry, however, sometimes I use my "Ishi" IWB leather holster, or DeSantis pocket carry or Fobus paddle holster depending on the situation and dress.
Note: The "ishi" IWB holster carries both the P-64 and Makarov.

again most often P64... use the ishi 90 % of time if way to conceal...ie shirt out (not my fashion statement)or with jacket tor sweater if temperature right. I also use a pager pal at times. I also am prone to Mexican style(yeah I know, but I admit it ).
Bottom line. like the size, weight, accuracy, round capacity, power,

Ishi is a member that started his own business.
His website is www.redstorm.com.
We also have Troy who owns his own leather company and makes a great variety of holsters. Sorry but I can 't put my hands on his website at the moment.

I carry my P64 95% of the time in a highnoon tuckable IWB holster as I need the deep concealment. When wardrobe dictates or if I am doing a lot of driving, I wear a sholder holster with a Springfield XD9 Subcompact 9mm or XD40 fullsize .40. I would carry the P64 100% but already owned the XDs and the holster. I am by the way very satisfied with the XDs. I'd own one over a Glock any day!!!

The web site for Ishi's hosters is
http://www.redstormholsters.com/firebrand/Home.html
I purchased one and a couple of mag carriers for my P-64. The holster is great, but one of the mag carrier's leather is SO thick and tight that I can't get the mag out (without a struggle) once it's shoved in. I emailed Ishi for a carrier that works better, but haven't received a response yet. Are you out there Ishi?

that Redstorm site makes video games out of Tom Clancy books, not the same as an in the IWB holster, but it is gun related!

I carry the P-64 most of the time and, I too, use the clip holster. I also have another P-64 "nearby", at the ready in another situation. When it gets too hot and muggy down here (this last summer was terrible), I generally switch to the Kel-Tec .32acp. I'd prefer to go with the P-64, but the Kel-Tec .32 is conealable when nothing else is. Remember: the first rule of a gunfight is to have a gun.
I recently procured a CZ-82 and find that I do pretty well in point shooting it--better than any of my other guns, including the P-64, a CZ-52 and a Beretta 9mm. The CZ-82 is likely to find it's way in the rotation when we start having "jacket-weather" down here.
I like the reliabilty, the size and accuracy, and I have never felt 'undergunned' with the P-64. It is loaded with powrball ammo for CCW, and I think it's more than enough for an armed citizen.
Of course that's just my two cents.
By the way, reprisejim, I've heard nothing but good things about the Springfield XD, I've got to try one of those before too long.

I usually carry two of my 4 P 64s in a double cross draw belly
band setup. Sometimes one in the belly band & the second in
a pocket holster.

I carry my P-64 in a pocket holster and even carried my Bulgarian Makarov in my pocket over the weekend...very comfortably I might add (no holster...mexican pocket carry... ).
I keep debating getting a clipdraw but can't convince myself of it's secure function. ???
