Labor Day Shoot *Results Posted*

Post by barnett3006 »

This thread is for members of this forum to post the pictures of the targets that they wish to enter in the Post-In Shooting Match.

Rules of the match are as follows:

Qualifying pistols are the Polish P-64 and "honorary" P-64's only. Honorary P-64 means: PPK clones chambered in cal. 9x18mm Makarov (PA-63's and BR-61's). No CZ-82's, Makarov's, etc.

Shoot 3 strings of 5 shots at a distance of 10 yards to the target. Each string should be on its own target.

The official target http://makarov.com/graphics/targets/GridTarget.pdf

Use the ammunition of your choice.

Score will be determined by points in rings. Breaking the ring counts for the higher score.

This is a free hand shoot ONLY; no resting on a bench, sand bags, machine rest, etc.

Enter the match by posting a picture of the best out of your 3 targets. Pictures should be in message board format (640x480 size).

Please post only the picture of your target in this thread; we all enjoy giving and receiving comments and compliments about each others shooting prowess. However, in order to maintain simplicity for our judges and for each other, please post your additional comments in another thread.

In the event of a tie you will be asked to submit your second best target.

All entries should be posted by midnight (24:00) September 3, 2007.

Participants can donate $2.00 to this site by using PayPal. The donation is not mandatory and will not effect your score or the outcome of the match. Donations can be made by going here http://p64.home.insightbb.com/main.htm and clicking on the PayPal icon on the bottom left corner of the page.

We are all trusting each other to follow these rules.

The most important rule of all is to have fun, shoot safely and enjoy the friendly competition on the best forum on the Internet!

Here's my contribution, wanted to make sure I got to the range today as I'm not sure I will have time tomorrow.

You like that dramatic "backlit" effect? Took it leaning on my laptop screen!

Happy Labor Day everyone! ;D

THE SCORES ARE IN!

I double checked everyones score then measured group size. Holes that broke the ring counted as the higher score. Group size was determined by measuring the group at its widest point and rounding to the nearest 1/8".

Place Name Score Group size

...Boreclear 48 15/8"

1 Carguy 48 23/8"
2 Anjdrifter 47 21/4"
3 Papabear 46 23/4"
4 NormSutton 46 27/8"
5 Redfestiva 45 27/8"
6 Barnett3006 43 21/5"
7 Blinddog 43 33/4"
8 Drboomboom 40 37/8"
9 Manicmechanic 36 27/8" (Group size does not include flyer)

Carguy wins by default with a score of 48 and a group size of 23/8"

Congratulations Carguy for winning the P64 Labor Day Shoot!

Boreclear submitted the target with the highest score and tightest group but he graciously declined the winning title since he won the 4th of July Shoot.

Thanks to everyone who participated, I had allot of fun and look forward to the upcoming matches.

I have to say, I don't want to be on the business end of any of you guy's guns!!! Darn fine shooting everyone!

Borecleaner you edged me out...but that was a very gracious act on your part and I will defer to the same for the next shoot.

Not that I have much of a chance of a repeat but if indeed it were to happen I will also withdraw to allow for someone else to claim the title for the interim period.

P64s RULE! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* Just make the check out to "Flat Rock"... ;D
