broken firing pin

I need a replacement firing pin to replace a broken one. Some advice: don't dry fire your p-64 multiple times with an empty shell in the chamber, I did and the firing pin pierced the primer and got stuck in the primer hole. I tryed to get the shell out not knowing this and the firing pin broke off about a quarter inch. What is my best bet on obtaining a replacement? Any help appreciated.

The only thing I can think of is to take it to a gun smith and see if he can turn you one
or sell it for part

there are no parts for these guns in this country that I know of

I have already put an order with bartos061 for some of the parts that brake that's one of them

Truth.
I read about the problem someone was having with firing DA with a round in the chamber. Having just bought one, I decided to try mine, and sure enough it had the same problem. I put the empty in to cushion the firing pin while i was trying to solve the problem. I have done this many times on other guns. I think this gun being designed for very hard primers, had no problem putting a hole through the soft primer of American made ammo.

This is not my first P-64. I gave a guy $100 for this one so I will wait and hope parts do come available in the future. If not I have a parts kit with everything but the firing pin.

this problem these people are having with this gun I have not seen any before pix and after pix so I can't condone what they are doing for the simple reason it makes no since . I own 4 of these guns in 4 different years and I have no such problems with it, the only time I had that problem was with 115 grn sliver bears , and that was the slide didn't go into full battery ,so now I don't fire any factory ammo over 95 grn
I cringe every time someone says they filed on one of these guns, because the parts are so rare for these guns. As far as I am concerned all these guns need is a good cleaning and maybe a spring change and the right ammo and then the gun is perfect

ITS THIER GUN THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT WITH IT

now on the subject of primers
you are more likely to pierce a harden primer because it's brittle
a soft primer is more pliable ( I think that's spelled right) (LOL)
in other words soft it will bend a lot more before it brakes

good luck on your search for a firing pin
and I'll keep searching for extra part for the guys on this forum

My sugesstion is to trawl ebay......I have managed over the course of a year to buy a spare of every part in my p64 ;D.
It always amazes me what can be found on ebay
