My P83 with a Green trigger months later

I posted here in Feb, after I had purchased my P83.
I sent the slide to Ameriguns, to have a tritium front sight installed, there was a mixup, and the work took twice as long. Ameriguns made the dovetail cut, and made the lowest front night sight possible to match the factory rear sight.

They did an excellent job, total cost, including shipping was $169.

After I got the slide back, I had planned to send the slide to Ford's to be hardchromed, but after the delay in the sight work, decided to go with a less flashy metal treatment, so I ordered some Norrells Moly Resin, and KG GunKote.

I did the refinish myself, using Norrells Gray Black on the frame-slide-mags and controls, Norrells Satin Black on the rear sight, and Foilage Green KG Gunkote on the trigger.

You know ya gotta keep that green trigger.
I also sent some of the parts to Mahovsky's Metalife to be hard chromed..pins, sear.
Reassembly was not fun, however the safety decocker was easy, most difficult was the trigger spring.

I am going to test fire the P83 next day or so, I think it turned out nicely. I really like the Norrells Gray Black color, seems my coating tiurned out a little lighter. To me, it still retains that military look.

Something different.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Those excellent grips came from Grips4U.com.
Expensive, but the quality is worth it.
