P64 Hammer on P83

Hi guys, new to the forum and I just got a P 83. Although I have a CCW, I have to wait until Saturday to get it because my FFL said that I can't buy 2 guns within 5 days in Florida. I was wondering if the P 64 hammer fits the P 83. I prefer the combat style hammer that the P 64/commercial version of the
P 83 has. I'll post pics as soon as I get it home this weekend.

Thanks in advance.

No, they are not compatible at all.

This is a P-64 Hammer:

And

This is a P-83 Hammer (ignore the arrow, that was for a different topic):

Thanks Weasel640. Do you a source where I can get one?

BTW, here is the newest member to my collection: It came with one magazine. I bought the others on ebay.

Nice rig, the only thing I don't like about the P83 is that hammer digs into my side using an IWB holster.

Thanks Curly. What do you carry yours in (IWB & OWB)? Does in fit in the PPK/PPKS holsters?

No, not off hand. They should still be available, and found through a Google search.

I carry my P-83 IWB in a Don Hume holster. The hammer doesn't bother me, and I actually prefer spur hammers on my pistols more than the Commander style. I am a pretty thin guy though, so that helps I think.
