Feg R61 Firing Pin Broke

Post by jdking1968 »

My firing pin on my Feg R61 sheared off. Anyone happen to know where I can get one? I'm pretty sure the firing pin from a Feg PA-63 will work also. Not sure about any others. Thanks

you need to take the slide off, look at the bottom of the slide, if it looks like the one on the left witch is a BR-61 it won't fit, if it looks like the one on e on the right witch is a PA-63 it should fit,

good luck finding one, maybe gun broker

Norm,

Thanks, mine looks like the one on the right. At least now I know it will work. Now the nearly impossible part of finding one.

Thanks for all the tips. I ended up find a firing pin for a Feg PA-63. I was told it would work. Now I am missing the firing pin spring. I spoke to someone at Wolf and he said he didn't have one in front of him but didn't think they were the same. I'm thinking they should be the same or the firing pin I ordered probably won't work either. I am thinking about buying a spring set from Wolf to just try it out. Anyone have any experience? Does anyone know what the stock tensions are for the recoil, firing pin and hammer springs?

Thanks again. You guys are great.

Nice. Thanks for posting the instructions on swapping out the springs. It looks like Wolff is out of the springs for the BR-61. I found a firing pin spring for a PA-63 on another site. That should work right?

Thank you for being so much help. I sent an email to Wolff springs to see if they happened to have some of the BR-61 kits still available and just not on their website.

Once again. Thank you.

Do they have more PA63 firing pins where you got yours?

It doesn't look like it. Maybe they'll get some more in.
