PA-63 and P-64?
PA-63 and P-64?
I own both and have shot both. The PA-63 with an extra power recoil spring and Handall Jr. grip is easier on me to shoot and has an extra round. If you are going to use high power rounds such as Pow'r Ball, the P-64 might be a better choice. For Silver Bear hollow points and FMJ, I would take the PA-63 personally. Either would be okay and it is really a matter of personal preference.

PA-63 and P-64?
Hey Norm, did you refinish your PA-63 yourself? If so could you please tell me what you did. I am looking to do something similar and would really appreciate any help you could lend.
Thanks,
Shawn

PA-63 and P-64?
Thanks for the link Norm. Did you polish your frame? Or was it already polished? If you did polish it, care to share your method.
I recently bought a PA-63 and I must say I truly like it a lot. But........the finish does leave something to be desired.
Any info you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

" The P-64 has that screwy European magazine well mag release. "
After a few times drawing from your pocket and watching your magazine fall to the floor you may change your mind. I prefer the heel release for deep concealment pistols. Many times I have accidentally dropped the mag on a Kel-Tec 3AT. I reach for the P64 first because of the release and caliber, only carry the Kel-Tec when nothing else will work.

Re: PA-63 and P-64?
stover, I carry a Kel Tec all the time but am looking for a 64. How much difference in pocket carry is there between the two? I like the P3AT because of the size and it seems to "disappear". John
Re: PA-63 and P-64?
Unfortunately the P64 is just a tad too big except for a few pairs of jeans I wear. I've carried it in a front pocket or in my back pocket with an untucked shirt to cover the exposed back strap.
For dress slacks the P3AT is the only way to go.
I carry a Bulgarian Makarov most of the time with the P64 pulling back up duty. When pocket carry is the only option -- I carry the P3AT.

Thanks, I just haven't found anything else that is quite as comfortable. John
Re: PA-63 and P-64?
I think two P64s would do just fine. Whenever possible carry them both and an extra mag that will fit in either of them.
