Here's my newly polished P-64. Original finish was in rough shape so I decided to make it look like a brand new pistol!

Looks good. Did you do the polishing yourself?

I did not, I don't trust myself around guns and tools. My buddy is a professional craftsman who makes his own bows, holsters, knives etc. Immensely talented; he works on firearms as a hobby. Now all that's left is a new set of grips.

Rust was a concern...I rarely shoot it so it mostly stays in a controlled temperature environment with a good coating of rem oil. I check it at least twice a week to ensure it isn't showing any signs of rust.

I did that to mine and it looked gread, however as I ccw it, exposed steel isn't a good option for my use. Im currently having it cerakoted.

It absolutely will. You need some type of protective finish on carbon steel.

For carbon steel guns I've use EEZOX on all of mine for years, IMHO the best on the market and if don't right it eliminates finger prints on all surfaces.

I've heard of this for ages, but never have tried it. Think I'll order some!

Waiting for mine to come back from Ron Mahovsky. I'm getting a "Metalife" hard chrome job.
