Savage Axis .22-250

I bought this a few days ago. It cost me $312 after tax. I put on Weaver bases and rings and a Tasco scope. Yeah yeah, I know Tasco isn't the greatest name, but I've had real good luck with cheap scopes. You'll see in the pictures below just how good. I have had good luck with cheap rifles. One that people rag on all the time is the Remington 770 series. Maybe I just got a good one. I bought one in .243 caliber for my wife and it shoots excellent with my handloads using H4895 and 100 grain Sierra Gameking bullets. Somewhere around the size of a nickel - quarter on 3-shot groups. This .22-250 did very good.
