I've looked at this post 3-4 times now and still having a hard time trying to find the ugly!
Looks like a fun piece.

Re: My Ugly 10/22
It has no bright colors. No artfully crafted stock. No stylish target barrel or shiny scope and mounts. Maybe I've seen too many of those high dollar 10/22s that look too nice to shoot.cwrgb wrote:Foo Bird

Thanks.
I didn't want to buy a rifle then spend even more money changing things out so I built it myself from parts. It came out to less than if I had bought one whole and modified it. That kind of thing works good for 10/22s.

Ya gotta love 10-22's, Have several that have been upgraded with after market goodies. Like what I see here on yours Foo!

Thanks. It's pretty bare bones, especially compared what I usually see. It's meant to be purely functional.
For anyone wondering, the stock was meant for the factory barrel contour. A little filing and the bull barrel will fit.
For you 10/22 owners out there, feel free to post some pics and improve the thread! Especially you Kansas.

Foo When I get the sun to shine and a little time I will get out and shoot some pics. Even of a malin 60 I somewhat tricked out!
Re: My Ugly 10/22
I look forward to it Kansas. The first firearm I ever owned was a Marlin model 60. My dad bought it for me when I was 13 and I still have it.
Re: My Ugly 10/22
Nothing ugly with your 10-22. It's a thing of beauty! My dad gave me my 10-22 almost 40 years ago and I
still have it. Thanks for sharing.
Robert
still have it. Thanks for sharing.

Here's mine
It's had many thousands of rounds through it, so it's a little rough around the edges!

I'm a fan of function over form, but I'd say yours hits both points. It's simple yet easy on the eyes.DoubleTap wrote:Here's mine

Re: My Ugly 10/22
Thank you for your kind words. The stock is actually getting a little beat up, but then again I couldn't even begin to imagine how many thousands of rounds I've put through this rifle. Given ammo prices these days, my .22's see a lot of use!I'm a fan of function over form, but I'd say yours hits both points. It's simple yet easy on the eyes.
