They Look great just the Same. I have alway's love the R.C.M.P. in their Red Serge. The Mounted Honor Guard is known as the Musical Ride. Paul

You've sure got a fascination of them. I think the Marines have a nice looking outfit, however, I don't much like their weird pants. Blue with red stripes??? Army is just so-so... same with the Navy. The Air Force honor guard look rather funny. Bus driver hats and a sport jacket :).

First of all, the color of the stripe is scarlet, not red. The scarlet-colored stripe worn on the outside seam of the blue trousers of Non-Commissioned Officers and above in the United States Marine Corps is referred to as a “Blood Stripe”. This stripe honors the Marine officers and NCOs who sustained an unusually high casualty rate during the Battle of Chapultepec in 1847.

Personally, I think they look awesome.
