My 1977 Polish P-64 completely stock besides the grips of course . Zebra wood clear shellac finish.

Are these grips thicker than the standard grips?

Yes mine are noticeably wider then the stock grips I was going to give you a exact measurement but I cant find any of my calipers. But If I had to guess its somewhere in between about 16th of a inch and 32nd of a inch wider on each side...

I wasn't sure how I felt about them at first but they grew on me and they feel more comfortable then the originals now. I do think it could be a comfort issue for someone with small hands, but even then it would prob grow on them too.

Im not sure if all the marchal are this wide its always hard to tell w/ pictures, I would imagine that they are around the same since the grips are cnc routed, but over the years I would imagine the design has slightly evolved.
