nice collection papabear, especially the chrome snubby

I have just one so far, a .38 Military & Police, or Pre-Mod 10, shipped 3/1/48 to Honolulu Sporting Goods.

mikeh1,

You have a excellent example of the pre 10, '48, so does your SN start with a "S", or a "C", I think the change was some time in '48 either way a '48's are hard to find any more. I'll post a pic of mine here later, I really enjoy my Smiths.

Note: My 10-5 is Nickled.......

oops, didn't see the caption for the pic. Sure is shiny!

Thanx. I put most of the "turning line" on the cylinder, it seemed to have very little use when I got it, and I try to be real careful when I take it out to shoot. S/N is S 9785xx, one of the last S series before they changed to the C series. It's the gun I keep handy at home, can't get anymore reliable than a Smith revolver.

Here is my pre-10, its a '51, I think they changed the front sight from the round blade to the ramp sight sometime in '52.

Wow, beautiful collection papabear! Hard to pick which one is my favorite...I like em all!

Here's some pics of my two Smiths - the top picture is a model 10-6, and the bottom is a 15-4. Similar pistols - both are .38s, but the model 15 has adjustable sights.
