Ab,

My experience has been that soon after the supply dries up, the demand soars. As a small-time FFL, I remember getting numerous calls for AK-47 clones as soon as Clinton banned them. Only a few wanted them when they were readily available

Autom8r,

Your reply made me laugh! This is definelty a TRUE statement. When they are available, no one wants the stuff; as soon as you can't get it, there is a rush by everyone to have one. You made a really good point!

All the more reason to stock up on the P-64s. I sold under a dozen Maks a couple years ago total for the year at $159, now I could sell a dozen a week at that price.

Ab, since you are an old pro on this forum with 346 posts to my 15..... How do you subscribe to a thread to get an e-mail to a post reply????? I checked the "bookmark" box but that didn't work, don't think I know what the bookmark box does......

Dave,

I think you are asking how to send a private e-mail to a Forum member? If so, click on the persons "Forum Name" (Abwehr in my case), and their public profile will show up. If that person has elected to show their e-mail, it will be in their profile and you can copy the address and send a private e-mail between you and the other part.

If you are asking about receiving an e-mail when a thread has a posting, I am not sure. I will neeed to check on how this is done.

If this is not what you need, let me know.

Ab,

"If you are asking about receiving an e-mail when a thread has a posting, I am not sure. I will neeed to check on how this is done."

That's EXACTLY what I had in mind...., still don't know what the "bookmark" is......

Autom8r,

Sorry to take so long to get an answer to your question about receiving e-mails when a response is posted to your thread. I looked all over the site and could not find out how. SO, I had to go to our "Guru", the Honorable "dickfunk" for the answer, and it is........ The Forum is not set up at this time to allow e-mails, but there is a possibility on the future this may be added. Not the answer you wanted, but at least we all know now. Thanks for asking the question!

Ab,

At least now I know why I was unable to figure out how to do it..... Can't be done!

Thanks much,

Dave

"Very early Polish ,post World War Two guns are marked with an "Archer" on the top of the receiver, instead of Warsaw Pact factory code "11". Rifles with such markings were manufactured only for two years before Soviets forced Radom factory to conform with Soviet Bloc arms industry codes."- that would be 1948-49 i am pretty sure.
just a tidbit about the Radom factory.

Archer in Polish means Lucznik - and that is still the name of the factory in Radom to this day. In addition to firearms, after the war - they made sewing machines, thus the name Lucznik was more known in Poland as makers of sewing machines than firearms.
Radom Lucznik (Archer) is trying now to get back to being known as premiere firearms and ammunition makers and in addition to Walther P99 (on German license) they make a variety of assault rifles, submachine guns and a very limited series of VIS pistols.

Witam Zbysiu - Hello:
In fact I know people (actually one person) who managed to get one of the new VIS pistols and also a holster (copy of 1935 design) made to go with this special model. That, in fact is true that the limited series was made. However, Radom factory web page advertizes this pistol although they say now that it is not available for commercial sale.
I always disagreed with a premise of making copies priced higher than the originals and I told them so when I visited Radom factory a few years ago. The price at that time was a bit over $2,000.00 and you could still get a pre-war Eagle pistol in the US for that or less - so why buy a copy when you could buy the original. Unfortunately, they would not lower the price.

Cool ! yes , I went to their website and saw the demonstrations video that showed their newer weapons ! They are very nice ! I like the P-83 also . Do you know if the P-83 grips will fit on the P-64? It looks like a very slight modification would let them change over. Anyone ever try that? G

Do not think the p-83 grips would fit after slight modification..one would have to modify them a lot...right now the grips holsters and mags are the only things related to P-83 that pop up for sale here and there...well I would get one just to have yet I do not think they are that great...the P-64 is small and that what makes it special ..for me of course and I am Polish so I could not let it pass....

Pozdrowienia z przedmiesc Chicago !!!

It is becoming harder and harder to find the "Polish Eagle VIS" around $2000.00 range even without the Polish holster...I own a nazi issue VIS and of course the quality is far from being even close to the pre war "Radom VIS"... there is a place that sells the replicas of Polish VIS holsters with straps ~$70.00 which is not bad...I keep mine in nazi type holster as it is nazi issue pistol..well it shoots great superbly balanced pistol... one day I'll get the pre war ...
Greetings

ZBYSIU23,
I have a German occupation issued 1942 VIS P35 and love it. I understand that the quality was far superior pre-Nazi occupation. I have read that the Polish Manufactured Radom P35 is considered in some circles as the best handgun manufactured, ever. This is from some google research I had done on the web! I am attempting to collect every firearm I can identify that was maufactured (not modern firearms Mass laws make that difficult) at the Radom plant (P35, P64, TT-33, M44 etc.) as I have always been impressed with the high quality of their weapons.
What is the website you referenced to see the "new" Radom issued firearms?
