  • I'm looking for replacement barrels for 2 p64's I am interested in any barrel that may fit including German Makarov barrels (I've heard they can be turned down to fit) any good leads or measurements would be very helpful. I have a lathe and an not above doing some reworking of surplus parts. Any help is highly appreciated!

After doing some reading and looking around I may end up getting a 9mm barrel blank and doing my own custom barrels chambered for .380 ACP. If I'm doing my own I could always thread the muzzle... I'd still be interested in getting any measurements people have for Makarov/p63 barrel sizes or standard P64 barrels. I'll update this thread with any significant findings or developments. Wish me luck and thanks for any help!

Check sites like Aim Surplus or Classic Firearms, both have recently had "gunsmith specials" for sale, those would most likely have a barrel useful to you.

I have been looking for a replacement barrel for a P64 for two years; with absolutely no luck. I would like to address the conversion to a .380 barrel; anyone have any luck in that arena? Should anyone know of a replacement barrel, please let me know. Many thanks in advance ....

FYI: The P64 will feed and shoot .380 rounds without any modifications. May not be as accurate as using 9x18 Makarov, but will still hit the vitals consistently within 25'.

If one of you are already a machinist or a gunsmith, you could always try turning down one of these blanks

I dunno how pricy $220 is for a 25.75 inch blank, but it is enough for at least 6 mak pistols, maybe y'all could organize a group buy & build to work it out
