Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
Hello all, new owner of a Polish P64!
The one I purchased is missing the trigger hinge pin - does anyone know where I can get a replacement? Is this pin P64 specific or are there any that also work?
Please see the following link for a picture showing the missing pin:

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Edit: I believe I've found the correct piece. Can I get any kind of confirmation?

Re: Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
Take a look at this link I think you have the correct part.

Re: Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
Appreciate the help redsman. I looked at the parts list PDF and it seems to match the part listed on gunbroker - I think that's the right part. $10 plus shipping feels steep for a single pin but I can't find it anywhere else unfortunately.
Re: Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
Thanks Curly1! This is my first P64 and I'm looking forward to taking it to the range.
Re: Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
Glad the links helped, good luck, keep us posted. I have 2 and enjoy them almost weekly.

Re: Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
Another thing that you need to think about is; If your Trigger Guard Pin (18) is missing then your Trigger Guard Spring (14) and Trigger Guard Plunger (15) is most likely missing as well.
I'd suggest thoroughly looking through the Parts list and Assembly guide (found below) before ordering parts. That way you'll know for sure that you have what you need.

Re: Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
Thanks for the good looking out. I haven't received it yet but was assured by the importer (Century Arms) that everything else was in good order. I'll look it over in detail when it arrives. This is my first surplus firearm so all this scrounging for parts is new to me
Re: Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
A part of owning collecting surplus arms. Sometimes it is sad that one must go through it, sometimes the thrill of the hunt for the elusive part is pretty cool.

Re: Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
Follow up, just received my hinge pin! Can't believe it took almost a month.
Couple of questions: I just noticed I'm an idiot and missing part #15, the trigger guard plunger. How necessary it this piece? Can I make do without? Is there an easy substitute?
Next, what is the best way to insert the hinge pin without damaging it?
Thanks in advance!

See pg 2 of this post, Norm discusses the pin install.

Re: Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
Update: received my plunger! Decided to do this right and got one off gunbroker.
So I've successfully inserted my spring, plunger and guard. I'm only missing my pin.
Curly1 thanks for the link. Unfortunately most of the info in that thread is about removing the pin. Just like the poster in that thread, I'm having serious issues with inserting my pin. It just seems too big.
Any tricks to inserting the pin?

Re: Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
Are you inserting the correct end first? If I am not mistaken one end should be just a hair bigger.

Re: Trigger Hinge Pin Replacement
One end seems to be ever so slightly larger, but it's not by much.
I've tried inserting both ends first on either side of the trigger guard and only meet resistance. I'm hesitant to pull out a hammer, it took a month to get this one.
