Paint Scrape!
Hi guys! I got to my P64 today! In working safety lever, it make a scraping off the paint on red dot! I was upset! Safety was stiff at first but now much better, scraped off most of paint though I can't believe it.
So what to do about this ones guys? Is it normal does it happen sometime? Help me out and THANKS!

Re: Paint Scrape!
Go to Wally World, get some matching red fingernail polish, fill in the small round area where the paint was and there ya go. And if it gets scraped off again you have more ready to go. It should not be that tight a clearance I would think though. Just dont put a huge dollop of polish on it though so it will get caught again.
Close enough for Government work will get you dead, ask any Vet.

Re: Paint Scrape!
Most of the red paint came off of my P-64 while I was removing the cosmoline on the initial cleaning. No scraping from the safety, just poor paint adhesion to the metal. I had used near boiling water to get all of the gunk off, and the paint came off while wiping it with a rag.

Seeing yours motivated me to repaint mine. Now it looks nice again.
