Someone say something about a mag release extension.
New from the shop and tested 100 rnds.
This is a field installed mag release extension.
It installs over existing mag release arm, engages into slot below hammer bar and has a hole for hammer bar to enter as gun cycles.
It is mostly mechanically attached. But I don't trust it. So I add epoxy. And designed in relieved areas for the epoxy to reside. And so far so good.
The extra leverage and protruding button make mag release so easy without fumbling in that hole. I think the apperarance is much like that of the Makarov. So I think not to obtrusive.
It will not fit in factory grips. You could probably do some grinding and it will work.
It will fit in all "PolishIron v.05 grips" going forward. But the current grips already shipped will require a bit of dremel work inside the grip in the mag release area.
I have a $$ in mind. But I'm going to build a bunch this week and get a better idea. Its such a sweet addition to our little friend. But I want to keep my friends too.
