Looking for grips
Hey I'm new here and just recently purchased my p64, my father has one and I fell in love with it - so I bought one. When he got his it already had a set of rubber grips on it and I'm looking to buy a set but all I can find is wood. Can anyone help to guide my in the right direction all suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks.
Re: Looking for grips
Are you talking about the Hogue slip on?

Re: Looking for grips
I do not believe the zee grips are rubber.
All Zee grip inquiries should be directed to Zee's email address: geospacesr@hotmail.com
Although he has not been online here in over a year.

Well that definitely lets the air out of my balloon.
Re: Looking for grips
I was looking at getting a tactical grip for mine but tried the inner tube trick first. I cut a section out of an old bicycle inner tube and fitted it over the grip. Works great and zero cost.
Re: Looking for grips
The thought of spraying my original grips with some rubberized paint has crossed my mind. I saw that someone on ebay does a service that paints your grips. A peel and stick sheet is also available on ebay. I have an old can of Permatex undercoating out at my trailer (100 miles away) that might work. I fear it may be too thick, but I'll spray something else first and see how it feels. The local hardware store has a rubber paint made for tools. Maybe another experiment? I do have a spare set of factory grips to play with.
