Bought a P-64 not long ago, and it functioned fine. Until one day...
I was getting a lot of light primer strikes, and only about 10% of the primers were firing.
Then I noticed the hammer was seizing up before fully contacting the firing pin.
Thought it might be the aftermarket springs, changed out the hammer spring. No change.
Then I looked closely at the hammer and noticed a small lateral pin where the hammer strut rests. The pin had come out of position, far enough to contact the frame (?) as it moved forward.
A few taps with a brass hammer reseated the pin, and the function was back to normal. Seems odd that the pin came out of place at all, but it is firmly in place now and the gun is functioning as it should.

Good to know this. Can look out for it.
