Oops, sorry Bob, my bad. The vid I embed was the hammer spring mod. The stock recoil spring, as Curly said is 18 lbs.
Re: Slide problem
Thanks again !
Re: Slide problem
No, no! What I think Bob is asking is about the RECOIL spring weight, not trigger pull. The original pistol recoil spring was/is 18 lbs. And Bob, I'm about 10 years younger but I have also had the darndest time(s) trying to get those pistols back together!!! I try and try, sometimes, and then I'll sit and look at that sucker, try again and it goes together! I think ya just gotta hold your mouth just right... Good luck!gemini1 wrote:Bob, the original/stock spring is over 20 lbs on DA and about 4 on SA.
This guy made a measurement using a fish scale, might be crude, but at least he gets an average reading.

Exactly Robert !! THANKS !
Re: Slide problem
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I believe the slide stop is jammed between the slide and frame in his picture, I figured out fast that during reassembly you need to kind of push it up and inward as you are pulling the slide back and down or it will get wedged between the frame and slide. I realize this is a bit of an old post but thought this might help someone.
