Cerakote

Post by mymirage77@yahoo.com »

Just recently acquired my P-64 after admiring one that a friend had purchased. Changed the hammer and recoil spring and very much like the feel. I like this so much am considering getting it cerakoted. I really like the thought of putting on a durable finish like that and customizing the appearance. Has anyone on this forum done that and if so do you have photos?

For some reason the search function is not finding the others. I know there are some more photos of P-64s with dura or cera coating. You'll have to browse around and you'll find them.

Search for 'cerakote', not 'coat' and you'll get some results. Also, you can add a wildcard in your search by using *.
So, the search of 'cera*' will match anything that begins with 'cera'. Now you know, and knowing is half the...

Thank you sir. I've been a big fan of this pistol and the 9x18 cartridge in general. I think it turned out great. Got the p-64 for $150 had a ton of holster wear so I got it finished. Cost about $125

Very nice job! I've got mine out to an applicator right now and hope it turns out good. Will post pics once I get it back. These are very nice pistols especially given the price.

To each his own, but I think the factory smooth blue has a much sexier look to it.

Here is one additional photo after adding the Hogue Handall Jr grip. After having replaced the springs this is now my favorite concealed carry gun when loaded with buffalo bore 9x18 Makorov +P (115gr. hard cast flat nose).
