Just like the title, I made a standard P-64 clip hold 7 rounds. I will be testing it later today, I will let you know how it goes.

I'm not planning on modding my mags, I'm just curious.

What was done?

they shorten the part of the follower that goes down inside the mag the width of a bullet

OK, sorry it took so long, the day I was going to test it I left the clip at work. It works to a certain extent. It hold 7 rounds, it cycles, so far no problems there. But it doesn't have enough push to hold the slide lock up. So I will be reworking the spring a little and see what I can get. You do have to shorten the follower a little, but not by the diameter of the bullet dimension. You have to shorten the spring also, I can't remember by how many coils I took off. But I think I have a better idea for that, I will continue my tinkering and testing and let you all know.

I am very prone to take on weird projects and things that really end up being gee-wiz type stuff. While it would be good to do just for the heck of it, I think it's a lot of effort just to get one more round to fit. If it came to compromising the function of the magazine then it's probably not worth it. I guess that's why it's okay if one person decides to take on a project then he can let everyone else know whether it was a success, half-success (ie, not worth the trouble), or a waste of time. Good luck.

I have done this with a pair of CZ-52 mags. It works fine but I expect to have to replace the mag springs sooner than had I not.

Somebody should modify the grips and open up the bottom of the frame to allow a double-stacked mag :D
