trigger will not reset

Just got a new p64 and decided to clean it yesterday. after i had put it back together i was inspecting it and the trigger wouldnt reset but will shoot in S/A or double just fine. Any ideas of what it could be. I know i put the trigger return spring in right because i was following the manual. Unless the manual is wrong. let me know. I order i new trigger return spring from norm. Dont know if that is going to solve the issue.
