Has anyone tried this with there p-64

Post by mike1050 »

I am not sure if anyone has posted about filling the engravings or not. I filled the engravings on my p-64. I saw a post on another forum and figured I'd give it a shot. I also did my Mil-Pro 145 they both turned out great. And it only takes about 15 minutes to do.

Looks good, I did that to my Taurus 431 using gold paint.

China white grease pencil and lots of acitone/alcohol to clean the lettered surfaces with priore to filling in the lettering. Be sure that the surfaces are free of any gun oil, hand oil, lead/copper remover, fouling etc.. The white fill will jump out of the lettering with recoil if the metal surfaces are not immaculate. You can clean the over fill from the flat and rounded surfaces with alcohol to sharpen up the lettering.
Makes your guns look very nice.
