p-64 firing pin

Great question jeepman - I'd like to get a spare myself! I've searched online but no joy. I saw a Walther site, but doubt they're interchangeable.

Any of you experienced P-64 guys out there have any advice?

Hey Guys,
I am checking with a Polish military friend to see if he can export a few P-64 firing pins and springs. I do not know if they would allow these parts into the US without an import license. :(

I know that we had problems bringing in German made Walther P-22 parts when they first came out. ::) Sgt P.

Thanks, Sgt P!
If/when you're able to get some firing pins from your friend, you'll have at least two buyers ;)

Guys,
Have been working the firing pin issue with my Polish Army friend. So far he has not replied back as I believe he got redeployed back over to Afghanistan. When I hear back from him, I will let you all know. Also have to BATF/Customs question about how many I could import here into the US without a license.

I would love to get some titanium from Halprin Titanium up in MA and see if one of the local machine shops could copy my firing pin. Do not know the hardness of the P-64s firing pins but I am sure one of them could find out. Norm any idea?

just go to ace hardware and get some stainless steel rod and turn that , I made a firing pin out of it for a snider carbine, and holding up just fine , I suspect the tips were burned off the firing pins from using wolf ammo, or weren't using snap cap's,

Guys there is a good article entitled "Replacing Missing Firing Pins" written by a gunsmith at:

http://www.gunreports.com/special_reports/

It's not specific to the P-64 and is geared more to the person with some machinist skills but might be helpful. hangfire

Ron

they are good firing pins , the only problem that I have seen with them is when someone has fired wolf ammo in the gun , and burnt the tip off
