p-64 firing pin

Post by manicmechanic »

Good work on getting this done!! It reminds me of the feeling when Wolff said they'd be making our beloved recoil and hammer springs, still waiting on mag springs but I haven't heard of any wearing out yet any how.

I just sent an e-mail to Harrington Products. Does anyone know if they have started a back order list?

I just got off the phone with Joe Bartelt of http://www.Gunpartswarehouse.com he is interested in making these if someone would possibly have a sample pin to send him for observation. We also need to have a Rockwell hardness idea of what we would want these made to specs. He is willing to look at it and possibly make a initial run of about 25 pins to see how they would sell. If anybody is willing to send him a pin,or knows all the correct specs(hint, hint,Norm). I think we may have found a manufacturer...I gave him the forum URL to look here...

better send him a round hammer firing pin they are longer , and I not sending one of mine, I think the safeties are more important than a firing pin, the firing pins don't brake on the P-64 as long as you don't have a pierced primer , shoot quality ammo in the gun and no wolf ammo . and it will give you years of service , by that time there will parts out there

Just meant possibly you would know the dimensions of the pins, didn't mean for you to send you pin in Norm, sorry for the confusion.I think I'll just sit tight since my hasn't been a problem since I got it.Just trying to help some of the ones that need it out.
