My question is what type of rifle are those in picture #11? Those bayonets are knife type and I.am pretty sure Mosin's never used a knife type, they all used socket type or permanently attached folder's (M44 carbines).
Any one got any ideas?
Very, very cool Curly.

Discussion on another site suggests they are Japanese T99's

Why would the Russians pose with captured type 99's? They had so damn many 91-30's?

As much as the Russians and the Japanese hated each other somehow I find it odd that they would use captured Japanese equipment for anything official AND let it be released in photo's. Like captured German equipment, they used it but find any official pictures showing them using it is extremely difficult.
I don't know, maybe cause the bayo's sure look like those issues with the type 99.
