Experience with these Holsters

Post by Cobalt-60 »

I am a new member, but having been reading the site for about the past two months (while I waited for my C&R license to arrive.) I have placed an order with AIM for a pre-'72 P64 which should be here on Friday or Saturday. I would like to know if anyone has experience with more than one of the following OTW nylon holsters for the P64 (I am not interested in ITW) and could provide a comparison review?

The Suncraft Mold lined NYLON holster for Polish RADOM P-64 9×18 9mm Makarov (sold on Gunbroker by Aivia2001):

The size 01 BLACKHAWK! 3-Slot Ambidextrous Black Pancake Holster:

The Barsony 6 Position Ambidextrous Concealment Pancake Holster for for Small .22 .25 .380 .32:

I appreciate your time, and look forward to getting my new purchase.

I have worn the Suncraft holster for years. Stays close to the body (after break-in). I wear it at 5 o'clock and have never had an issue. For IWB carry, I use Grandfather Oak kydex. Great clamshell retention holster. I own several for different pistols.

Thanks, IrishBob! I ended up with the Blackhawk! which I have been carrying forward about a year. I also carry in the 5 o'clock (or for me 7 o'clock since I am left-handed) position. The one thing I do not like about the Blackhawk! is that it is not very easy to re-secure the strap once drawn with one hand. I may have to look into the Suncraft again if it is still available.
