Magazine finger rest getting to my car's seat.
Magazine finger rest getting to my car's seat.
I will post a picture later, but the finger rest in the p64's mag does seem to like my car's seat way too much. I actually now have a vertical mark on it due to the mag. Maybe I put the P64 way too much towards my back but that is what I found to be most comfortable (a lot of times I only know it is there in the bathroom, when its weight to affect my pants).

It's a simple job to remove the "pinky extension" with a bit of grinding and sanding.

I have noticed on several different sites that sell used P64 magazines that the finger rest has been removed, as described by Hurrin' Hoosier . So it appears that you are not the only person to run into this problem. When I saw those ads I wondered why anyone would go to the trouble to remove the finger rest. Now I have my answer. Thanks!

I've never had that issue, but I do prefer the finger grip on the mag, it helps me draw it out. I'm right handed and when I carry one of my P-64's it's in a cross draw IWB holster, for me its a lot easier to get to setting or standing, due to 3 separated right shoulder injuries...uh...one car wreck, one bar fight and one helicopter crash.

Helo crash, you don't hear about those too often (nor about people walking away from them, either!).
