I don't like anything that goes into the bore. I won't mention the company, but I prefer the racks I use, that have been around for Years.

BVD, that's a thought and not uncommon to hear, thanks for bringing it up. Let me share with everyone why we are having such success with the design. Some of this may resonate with readers.

A few years ago I obtained my FFL03, well long story short I ran out of space in my safe. I went on a search for handgun racks that enabled me to safely store my guns in a manner that allowed:

- Maximum density in the safe
- The ability to move guns as group from the safe to my bench or other location
- Protection of the finish
- Security (sometimes at the range or a show)
- The ability to keep matching mags etc near the gun

I found that every thing on the market did not meet one or more of the points above. I found that the wood racks were heavy, very large and did not enable me to easily grab the rack and take it over to my bench. The metal racks were very unstable and tend to have the guns flop around and mar the finish.

I came up with the Armory Racks design and have been using them for about 2 years now. By hanging the guns by the barrel you not only enable maximum density, but you don't damage the finish inside or out. I could also add a tray under the rack to store accessories. I could easily move guns around to work on them or just look at my collection outside of the safe. The pic below shows you how you can fit 48 handguns on 6 Armory Racks in 16 1/2" of space.

The hangers themselves were tested a lot. To ensure that that you can't damage the barrel or crown we have powder coated the hangers and added a plastic cap as well. The materials chosen do not absorb moisture either so you have great air circulation around the entire gun.

At the end of the day, everyone will find a solution that works best for them, what was on the market did not work for me. After several people asked to buy my racks, I decided to start a small business and offer them to others. We also now offer additional protection for the barrel.
