IWB "tuckable" holsters?

Post by xdcolorado »

I must say that the DickFunk (what a name!) holster look really nice, but I'm looking for one that is tuckable with a very thin profile. Compared to my XD 9mm subcompact, my little P64 is incredibly thin/light. Even with a "Mexican Carry" around the house, it feels great except for the hammer digging into me a little. My XD is uncomfortable this way. So I don't think I need a kydex/thick holster, just a nice one. Here is the criteria:

1) IWB
2) Tuckable
3) Thin
4) back of holster high enough to provide barrier against skin/body
5) not a straight drop, want a cant
6) it doesn't matter to me if it has a retention strap or not, prefer without though
7) Thinner/not too wide of a clip - no straps as this will be worn with dress shirts and slacks, rarely a coat.

Any idea? Ideally, I'd like to be under $65

I would recommend Crossbreed mini tuck holster. Get the holster for the PPK it will fit the P64 here is the web page http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/ This will be the last IWB holster you will ever buy. Very comfortable.

You might want to look at Jim Murnack's "FIST Holsters." They can make just about anything you want, for reasonable prices. They make this ultra-thin Kydex tuckable holster for $55. If you ask for the body shield model for a SIG P232, it should meet your criteria:

I bought the "K1 Universal Holster" eight years ago, and it has proven to be a tough, durable, very thin, concealable, and ultra-fast-draw rig. This one holster can be quickly adapted to be a belt slide, inside-the-waistband, or tuckable ITW holster and works surprisingly well in all three modes of carry.

I have an IWB tuckable for both my P64 and 1911 from DM Bullard of Azle, Texas. He has a pretty big backlog, but does nice work.

I purchased a Blackhawk nylon strapless holster part# 5100001 for mine and love it just wish it had a strap.

Galco Ultimate Second Amendment Holster for a Walther PPK.

Meets your requirements except for criteria 4 and 5.

I have the holster and love it. Even against the skin it's not that bad. The holster is probably the thinnest IWB holster I've ever owned. The rough side out holster makes it very stable against clothing. I paid about $65 at a gun store.
