Gift box for P-64

Post by bartos061 »

Hi everybody,
I found it on a Polish on line auction web site.
Seller said that probably box belong to ex policeman.
Hi find it in the basement after he bought a house.
Unfortunately he couldn't said me nothing more. >:(
I had a luck that he didn't throw away it. :D

My theory is that that was a kind of gift box for high rank policeman.
Taking into consideration a kind of materials use to make it, I think that was made in late 60' or 70'.
Dimensions:
Length - 25cm
Deep - 19cm
Hight - 6,5cm

And here you are some pictures:

The box is made of wood and covered with very thin leather or artificial leather.

Inside the box has place for P64, spare mag, cleaning rod and two boxes of ammo.

Unfortunately as you can see the box isn't in perfect condition :'( but I'm going to renew it (if I only find some time) ;)

Sorry guys for ppk replica in the box but I still don't have my own P64 :-[

btw... what kind of pistol is that "PPK clone"? it is a sharp little gun ! Personally, I prefer the "looks" of the Walther PPK style pistols ! (That is what led me to spot the P-64 at the gun store)
that model looks great to my eyes and fits my hand size wonderfully. I have to ask-- Why don't you own a P-64 yet?
Are they harder to find there?
Are there more intense gun ownership laws there in Poland ,as compared to America's?
Also , if you don't mind all the questions, Have you ever been to , or are citizens allowed to visit any of the gun making factories there ? example: tour the factory, buy parts directly from, buy souvenirs?
Thanks Man, Garry

Yes in Poland we have very very very strict gun law
See my posts here:

and post of pezzonovante here:

And answer for your last question.
There is a possibility to buy weapon and weapon parts in Radom factory but to get there you must have Gun license. They have even excellent gunsmith workshop.

Hey Thanks Man ! I would like to visit that Radom Factory ! Maybe someday the gun shows on TV here will do a tour and show it ! hmmmm... maybe i shall write them and "mention" it. That Denix is nothing to be ashamed of ,for certain ! sweet looking gun, methinks. If you ever got drunk and started dancing with your service rifle, you might say you were doing the Beer Beryl Polka ? heehee Those other pistols are really cool looking ! The one from your job is nicely shaped . A good looking forward tilt to it. Thats a cool picture of your night patrol in the snow . Thanks for the info about your "Shop" ! Neat stuff there! I am interested and hope to order a tool sometime soon. G
