Hogue Handall Sleeve for CZAK

Post by zbysiu23 »

Hi,

Have anybody ever tried the Hogue Jr. Handall Sleeve for the P64 ?

http://www.hogueinc.com/getgrip/merchan ... 147&step=4

I have got the full size Hogue Sleeve on my Ruger 22/45 and it does its job wonderfully..
I may just get it and try it ....unless of course I would be able to bribe somebody to sell me those grat green cammo grips..

Greetings

zbysiu23,
I thought about getting one of those just to keep me from loosing the grip nut. The extra cushing would be good.

The rubber grip cover will stick to your shirt/clothing. I tried it on a kel-tec 3at and took it off because it would print my shirt.

Ihave a Hogue sleeve and mine has two finger grips on it . i like it. it is the one that fits the Makarov . I do NOT carry it . it is sticky but, relieves some of the snappiness and bite. i had to cut off a 1/2" from the bottom -but, this was easy w/scissors. it looks good , feels good, and fits good. good luck ! the camo ZeeGrips are sweeeet looking and i will try to get a set of the wooden grips. Hogue Handall Sleeve for CZAK

Before reading all of the posts I was going to say:

"I put the Hogue Jr. on my P64 the other day after developing a blister from my poorly fitted stock grips with the thumb rest. I've only shot about 50 rounds with it but so far I really like it. The gun is a little easier for me to get my paws around and the tacky grip allows me to place my thumb on or below the rest, which for me seems to be the only way to avoid contact with the slide and my hand.

After trimming a little with a sharp hobby knife I was able to fit it under the thumb rest in a way that looked good IMO. I have always preferred the grip sleeves on my glocks and thought they added a nice custom feel. I guess I'm just used to them...."

But now that I've read some of the complaints here I am not so sure. I guess the true test won't happen until my IWB holster from Ishi arrives. If it sticks to the shirt it's comin off, that's for sure.

Thanks for posting this.....points I had never considered.

Update to my previous post:

I've been carrying my P-64 in my new holster from Ishi with a new Hogue Jr. grip sleeve for about two weeks now.

I have yet to notice the grip causing any wardrobe malfunctions or printing inside the shirt. IMO the grip sleeve is necessary if your original grips fit as poorly as mine do. The rubber fills in the gaps and misaligned sides of the grip and eliminated the pinching that I was getting in my palm.

Until I find the right replacements for my stock grips I think the Hogue grip sleeve is staying on.
