Belly Band Holsters

Do any of you folks have history using one of the several Belly Band Holsters on the market. Are they as comfortable as the manufacturers suggest. I'm looking for some thing that will help with Spring and Summer carry when I don't want to carry a pocket pistole............................. G.R.

It really depends on you build. I like them for deep cover work, but it will add steps to drawing your weapon. I know some people like thunderwear, but if I get in a jam, I don't want the BJ to see me unzipping my pants..just seems odd. ;D

It's called a "suppressor" and you need a tax stamp and permission from your local LEO chief to wear one....? Oh, and getting your muzzle threaded is a problem too.

After trying many various types of concealed holsters I came across the waist band holsters. I am some what on the heavy side so the bell band works real good at concealment of both my P-64 and my snub nosed Maggie, of course not at the same time. Mine is made by ACE and comes in a few sizes. My waist is 40, so I wear a Large size belly band holster.

As an add on to my earlier post, the ACE waist band holster comes with two magazine holders. I really haven't found any thing better at hiding the "print' of a concealed weapon than the Ace.

Yeah, Al and I looked at the "Thunderwear", the guy selling them tried to get us to buy 'em, but I told him there wasn't enough room left down there to put anything else, besides, I explained to him that "This is my rifle and this is my gun, this is killing and this is for fun"......... ;D

We use to make them for some Air-Marshals. We stopped due to the difficulty in effective draw time and not being able to do draw without notice. I think we still have a few left but they are made for the Sig 229.
