Brass catcher, best $20.00 deal I have gotten

Post by trustingman62 »

I don't know if this has been written about in past post but I bought a brass catcher from a company called Graco and it works wonderful! Elastic slips over palm of my shooting hand and catches the brass. It didn't miss a one. Only quick way to keep up with fired brass.

I think I would just rather buy a revolver, than to have a fish net strapped to my hand.

I think there is a thread on here where someone had some success with a home made one they posted last year.

I've seen these used, and they both work well.

The net thing, although it might get near %100 of the brass, it just is not feasible for real world tactical training. You should train (practice) the way you fight. In a home invasion, or self defense situation you are not going to bother with a net. At the range just collect it up afterward.

As I'll be shooting Russian Silver Bear, the steel casings aren't worth saving.

But if the range is crowded I don't want to be ejecting shells at my neighbors.

No sure how bad the P-64 is, but the CZ-82 is nortorious for beaning people with casings.

For 20 bucks ..... Go to a tropical fish store and buy a fish net for 6 bucks and bent to shape ......

It works pretty good. It gets tricky dealing with different handguns because they all seem to eject differently. You usually just have to bend the hoop a little and it'll catch most all the brass then. Cheap to make and takes about 10 minutes or so.
