I just ordered 500 from http://www.missouribullet.com. Cost 49.50 with shipping. Will be my first experience with powder coated bullets. I am a caster. If these work, I'll try making my own.

I have shot nylon coated bullets before. They were blue. Slightly less accurate, since the bullet is slightly smaller to allow for the more compressible nylon to squeeze down the barrel. However, they left the gun noticeably cleaner. Great for plinking but don't expect to win any target shooting competitions with them. I still have a few boxes in .40 s&w.

I powder coat my own, although it takes to long to process 500 rounds. Lately I have been buying Mo. Bullet Co coated lead ammo. Very happy and shoots very clean.
I have a 357 that leaded up about everything I tried. With coated bullets no leading.

I've had good success with 158gr .358" PC bullets in a Ruger Vaquero .357 Mag. Loaded them up to almost fullpower jacketed velocity with VihtaVouri N110. I tumbled them around in a ziploc bag for a minute or so by hand. Bake them in a toaster oven for 15 minutes on about 375 degrees. Leading has been non-existent. I have yet to find any lead streaks in the barrel. I'm glad I've switched over to this method and I'll have to do further testing.
