7.62X25 Reloads

Post by dhan »

What Diameter bullet is recommended when reloading 7.62x25 Tokorev. I haven't found no listing in the Reloading Catalogs I Have.

Thanks

I thought it was .310" but that's the groove diameter. The bullet would be .309" but you won't find one. You have to use little .308" bullets as was said previously. Lyman 49th and Hornady 7th both say .308". If using cast lead bullets, .311".

Just a follow-up. Hornady does make the XTP in 0.309" for the 7.62x25 Tok.

Sierra has the Sports Master .308"

First thing you need to do is slug your barrel to determine groove diameter. Most of the 7.62x25mm pistols range in barrel size from .308 to .313. My yogo zastava tokarev slugs out at .312 or 32 cal. I plan on loading 32 cal .313 diameter 85 GR-RN and .100 GR SWC cast lead bullets.
Hope this helps. :hi:
