What do you fellows use for a fast burn, low flash powder out of short barreled 38/357 revolver? There has to be some thing out there that does not light up the night during use.

you can try IMR-700X I've had good luck with it. Try about 4.2 grains with a 125 JHP

Gik-Tal, thank you for the posting and the information, I was beginning to think I was the only person around who carried a light weight snubby. There is no lack of printed information regarding standard loadings for the .357 from an eight or ten inch barrel, but trying to find something that is the powerful, fast burning and suitable for light weight snubbies is a whole other question; such printed information is very scarce and I really appreciate your input.
Thank you again.

GR,

I have had good low flash luck with VihtaVuori powders. They have load data online and if you need a starting point for some loads using faster powders than they list for 357, just give me a holler and I'll run them through QuickLoad for you.
