I used one of these brass catchers the other day and am planning to buy one shortly.

That brass catcher is a "good" idea but a very lousy price. Who seriously wants to spend $60 on a $10 trout net? Make a base out of scrap lumber, attach the handle, voila, $60 brass catcher for $10. Midway has some "nifty things" but pretty much at highway robbery prices. Wal-Mart normally has trout nets in rectangle and teardrop shapes. I used to have one, I should see if I still do, I'd like a brass catcher.

Sorry this is completely off topic, just offering an idea to save someone $50.

93 gr .363 cast RN from Missouri Bullet (very nice looking cast bullets)
trimmed 9x19 cases, various makers
Hodgson TiteGroup, 2.2 gr and 2.5 gr
Federal small pistol primers
P-64, 1975 manufacture, 17lb hammer spring, standard recoil spring

This load is adapted from my standard Makarov .380 load, which uses 2.5 gr behind a 100 gr Magnus cast bullet for 975 FPS. Very accurate in my IJ-70 and pretty hot for .380. No problem in a Makarov.

For p-64: Using 2.5 gr with the 93 gr 9.18 in my P-64 threw the cases about 20+ ft. and was a wee bit hard on the hand if doing a lot of shooting. (Sorry, haven't used the chrono...) Still, not too bad if you want a moderately hot load. Using 2.2 gr keeps the cases inside about 10 or 12 feet, is very accurate, and much easier on the hand.

Note: my scale may measure a bit light. I always find I need to back off a bit from book values. Typically .2 grains.

Bullet, 100 grain National Bullet Company Copper Coated 9x18 lead bullets.
Cases, various 9x19 cut down to 9x18
Powder, 2.8 grains of Hodgdon Clays
Pistol. CZ 82
This is a very accurate reload with no indication of case or primer bulge issues, the only draw back is the load is down right filthy, almost greasy and I will not reload it again.

Lead bullets in polygonal barrels? Yep, you bet!
For those of you who are interested, I used this same formula to load 96gr. Bear Creek molly coated Lead bullets with out a trace of leading. I cleaned the barrel with one pass of a 9mm Bore Snake. So much for that

loaded up my 1st batch of 9x18 SD ammo Saturday.

1. Hornandy XTP JHP 95gr.
2. starline 9x18 brass
3. titegroup 3.2gr.
4. cci small pistol primers
5. p-64 and cz-82 was used

I got great accuracy out of this load in the p-64 and good accuracy out of the cz-82.
The load shot smoothly and without a lot of the snappiness that can sometimes come out of the p-64. the cz-82 was great handling as usual.

.363 Maplewood LRFN 105 gr.
Starline 9mm +P trimmed to 18mm
Unique 4.0 grs
CCI sm pistol primers
1974 P64
Shot very accurate(completely removed center "bullseye" from paper target) @ 15 yrds. Lots of smoke though. There was a guy shooting in lane next to me and the smoke was drifting his way. Didn't see any unburnt powder flakes
kicked average hard. Cartridges showed slight bellied near base but I think I need a stiffer recoil spring. Loved the accuracy but hated the smoke. After 75 rounds barrel bore looked good.

Lee as cast with range lead 100 gr tumbled with Alox
resized misc. Luger brass with pink nail polish
3.5 gr Unique
cci small pistol primer
.955 OAL with Lee factory crimp die (light)
avg. 897 fps
1971 P64
This is a nice medium recoil load. I am not very good with a pistol, but I shot better with these than factory loads or other homemade recipes. Making this my standard as long as my Unique lasts.

Looking for help, need some loads for a P64's.
The only powder I have is Unique, since powder is so scarce. I have Missouri 93 gr. rn bullets,win. primers and starline brass. Any help would be appreciated. Not looking for killer loads. Just good all around ammo.
