DEL-TON Inc.complete upper for the M51/AR16 rifle?

Post by gunneyrabbit »

Has any one out there purchased a Del-Ton Inc. complete upper for thier M15/AR16 rifles? I'm I'm thinking of buying one but thought I should query the group priore to flopping down $400.00 for some thing that might be a mistake. I would appreciate any information you might offer.

I have the complete AR-15 in 5.56 with carry handle, flash attachment, bayonet lug, etc. Good shooter. Some Police agencies them. I got mine thru contract over run.

I paid $800 for complete gun. You might do better than $400 for upper direct from Del-Ton.

Get the upper in 5.56.

gwbiker, thanks for the quick reply, why do you suggest 5.56 as appposed to .223 round?

This link and thread will help explain the difference in round pressure... Also I find Military grade surplus 5.56 is cheaper than commercial .223.

I have one of these from JSE Surplus. For $350 it works really well.

Out of stock right now but they have others to choose from.
