Thanks for the post Norm. I let a Vetterli slip by earlier this year, due to ammo and firing pin concerns (the only rim-to-center-fire conversion I'd seen involved a lot of equipment I don't have access to). I have my eye on a different one now (a 78/81), and this post has pretty much helped me decide to pull the trigger on it this time around (a 'while I still can' decision).
Other than information pages linked to from the pages you linked in the OP, is there anything like a 'community' for Vetterli owners/collectors/shooters around?

I'm also making case brass front blades for the Vetterli's now , so people that want to shoot 50 to 100 yards don't have to aim a foot low to hit their target's
