Bauer .25cal

Post by papabear »

Won a bid on GunBoards for a Bauer .25cal, its a copy of the Baby Browning, Norm knew I have been looking for one for some time, he put on to one a while back and I lost out on it cause I couldn't stay awake that late [12:53 CDT] to protect my bid, but he sent me a heads up on another one and I won this one..... ;D, so thanks again Norm for all you do. It comes with a holster, should have it in a week or so, have to mail a MO so it will be awhile coming.

Picked up my Bauer .25 yesterday that I had won off GunBroke for, $220 OTD, my dealer didn't charge me the $25 FFL fee..... ;D ;D ;D, got it home and cleaned it up, it was in pretty good condition so it didn't take that much cleaning and put the new grips on it. The before pics of it are at the top of this thread, the reason for the new grips is the right panel grip had a piece broken off of the imitation pearl grips, so I ordered a set of Walnut checkered grips from Gun Parts, the grips got here one day before the Bauer did, timing is everything :-*. My next range visit this little "baby" is going with me.

If this darn rain every lets up I'll take the Bauer to the range, yesterday I did leave for work early, yelp, back to work, its a family thing, I'm just helping out, and stopped off at a spot where they dump old appliances and such and popped off 6 rds, I have friends in low places..... ::) even though its a small pistol it handles well, at 5 yds it put out a 5" group in rapid fire, so its plenty good for what I want it for, "up close and personal.

Got a new set of grips for my Bauer, Norm put me on to a set of Ebony grips being auction on GB, I received them yesterday from Patumthani,Thailand which is a neighboring province of Bangkok, kinda neat getting them from there, I was stationed near Bangkok at Don Muang, AFB in '67 for a shot time, quick delivery too, got em in 8 days from the end of the auction.
