I'm making a list and want to see how many handguns are out there chambered for the 9x18 makarov round.

So far I have: Makarov PM (EG, Russian, Bulgarian, Chinese), Radom P64, Radom P83, CZ 82, FEG PA63, FEG R61, FEG SMG918 and the RK 59.

I know there are a couple of revolvers also.

What else can you come up with?

(I did skip all the "brands" of Makarov PMs...Baikal, Arsenal, Miltex etc and Hi Cap option)

That R-92 is such a slick revolver, wish I could get my hands on one. There is just something about the way it looks...

Plus one with commandercob, I just love anything that is out of the ordinary. This is the second time that little bad boy has appeared out of no where, sure wish they were available! Wouldn't mind owning one of the OTs-21 Maylsh semi-autos either.

I did see the select fire auto pistols and left them off becasue I'm naking the list of weapons available (not all in the US...yet) to the average "enthusiast".

From reading that I've done, the CZ 83 was supposedly never available in 9x18 only the CZ 82, the military version. The 83 was supposed to be available in 32 and 380 only according to CZ-USA website. (I know the wilkipedia description lists is as available but I've never seen one so I always defered the manufacturer's website)?!?

I want one of each of the R-92 and OTs-21...very cool!!! :-/

I have a CZ83 satin nickel in 9x18 Makarov and I know of another member who has a blued one in 9x18 Makarov. They were limited production factory runs. Mine is for sale: http://www.auctionarms.com/search/displ ... um=8531264.

You missed two Makarovs - the Russian commercial IJ-70 and the post-unification German.

Anyone mention the SMC-918, yet? It's an FEG gun somewhere in the BR-61's line, I think. I have one, but I don't really know its pedigree.

yes it's a FEG, it's the same size as the BR-61 except it has an alloy frame

Thanks guys!! Thanks Mr. Beasley I am incorrect on the CZ 83 obviously if you own one! And a beautiful one it is...I wish I had the ability to pick it up like a few others here in Massachusetts!

Did I type wrong? Is the BR 61 the same as the FEG R 61? And is the FEG SMC 918 the same as the FEG SMG 918...did I just type it wrong or are they different pistols??? I was referencing a few sources like Makarov.com and the wilkipedia to create this list.

Thanks on the CZ83. SMC-918 is correct, not SMG-918. R61 & BR61 are different designations, and there was the RK59, FEG's first attempt using an alloy frame, a 9x18 military & police pistol that was made before these. The R61 that came after it had an improved alloy frame. FEG made a lot of similar designs with different model designations.
