Hey anjdrifter, Put me down for the lever action. I need to get put on Norms list for his sks' also. My poor M44 is so lonely all by itself.
I will also beg my way onto Hayden's list for any straglers no one else as claimed ;D !

Just ordered a Laminated M44 from Classic Arms today to keep the 2 SKSs company. Can't wait until next week.

Also, on the Cosmoline deal. The goopier it is the better, that's why your 50 year old gun is still good as new.

If you use brake cleaner, get the cheap stuff. Some of the more expensive brake cleaner has Chlorine in it. You don't want to use that stuff.

I'm a fan of the "bake it in the oven" method of cosmoline removal... http://www.sksboards.com/smf/index.php?topic=4628.0

Space, I enjoyed dealing with Classic Arms. Well as much as you can enjoy giving money to someone, but my M44 was in nice shape when it arrived. Classic was great.

WOW! Great collections guys. Here's a few of mine. I've gotten more after my camera went south so no pics of those.

NORM
Norm,
It shoots better than it looks. 1/2 inch and under groups at 100 yards with the military sights. I'm thinking about getting a Parker Hale sight for it ;D

Rob,

It's original, its a M28 bayonet and I have the original scabbard too. Got it at a show in Louisville a couple years ago, also have the M39 bayo too, but its a repo, heck the m39 repo's now are going for big bucks too.

Don't know it you noticed, probably can't see it in the pix, but the Styer M95 bayonet has a sight on top of the barrel ring, those are really rare.

The bayo on the #5 Jungle Carbine is original too, not a repo or FRI.

I was shocked that the bayos are more expensive than the rifles, IF you can even find one. I didnt notice that on the Styer bayo, quite a collection you got there. That carbine is sweeet. I'm gonna find a decent one one of these days.

Norm,
Your right about the Savage Enfield. I've never owned one, but have shot several. Sweet rifles. My Longbranch is all matching numbers and a field repair on the stock, bore looks like a mirror.

Rob,

I know what you mean, I paid $200 for it nearly two years ago and $175 for the Sako M39, it has the war time stock, round fingers, and I have the tool that adjusts the front sight. By the way, thanks for sharing the pix's of your milsurps, they are addictive too.
