Every ammo dealer that I have seen recently online is out of basically ALL Silver Bear 9x18. I know that there is Wolf out there for relatively cheap.....but I've heard too many horror stories on Wolf 9x18.

Not trying to start an ammo debate....just wondering if there's any ammo out there currently that I am overlooking. I see cheap Wolf, and expensive S&B.....but there has to be a happy medium!

The best deal I know of lately is the MFS +P sold by SOG. From what i hear it's not on their web site, it's in their flyer, but if you call them they will send it to you. I think it's $8.95/box and has reloadable brass. Once fired reloadable cases are worth money or trade bait! And this is good clean ammo.

If the deal still exists, and I'm pretty sure it does, everyone here should be grabbing at it.

The owner of a local gun shop told me to stay away from wolf, he must of forgotten that when I bought the P-64 it came with a box of wolf. That box worked just fine, I then bought some of the wolf millitary classic and again so far it's the best I have tried. I did find it for six bucks a box just can't remember from where sorry- but I like it and it is out there.

Maybe it's because the indoor range is not extremely well lit, but I don't notice all the smoke from Military Classic that others do. I see the price for MC just jumped at Sportsman's Guide, so Barnaul 9x18 at Widener's may now be the cheapest at $167/k.

Hmmmmm. Sounds like it might be time for some of you to take up a new hobby. Handloading for the p-64 is very rewarding, and it works wonders for "ammo anxiety."

It's OK....I knew if Norm didn't start in on me, then someone else would ::). I barely have time in my schedule to get to the range, so I really don't have the time to reload at this point in my life. Hopefully one day in the future.

hey, does anyone know what the difference is between the Honnady xtp hp's in the yellow box and the hornady xtp in the white box with a guy in a trucker hat shooting?

Are there certain requirements to be able to buy from them?

I found the white box of 20 Russian 9x18 at www.buymilitarysurplus.com for $4.00 a box. Never shot it so not sure of the quality. I think SOG is the best price around! I don't know if is it surplus & corrosive or not?? ???

torpeau - I don't know but I heard that you can call SOG and arrange the deal.
